Both the ID.BUZZ and the Vistiq have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, front seat center airbag, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and available around view monitors.

The ID.BUZZ’s corrosion warranty is 1 year longer than the Vistiq’s (7 vs. 6 years).

Volkswagen pays for scheduled maintenance on the ID.BUZZ for 2 years and 20,000 miles. Volkswagen will pay for cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. Cadillac only pays for the first scheduled maintenance visit on the Vistiq.

There are over 11 percent more Volkswagen dealers than there are Cadillac dealers, which makes it easier should you ever need service under the ID.BUZZ’s warranty.

From surveys of all its subscribers, Consumer Reports’ March 2025 Auto Issue reports that Volkswagen vehicles are more reliable than Cadillac vehicles. Consumer Reports ranks Volkswagen 3 places higher in reliability than Cadillac.

The ID.BUZZ has a standard locking charge port which locks and unlocks with the power locks. The Vistiq doesn’t have a locking charge port. A locking charge port prevents tampering and damage.

For better stopping power the ID.BUZZ’s standard front brake rotors are larger than those on the Vistiq:

For better maneuverability, the ID.BUZZ’s turning circle is .8 feet tighter than the Vistiq Premium Luxury/Platinum’s (37.4 feet vs. 38.2 feet).

The Volkswagen ID.BUZZ may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 150 to 350 pounds less than the Cadillac Vistiq.

The ID.BUZZ is 10.2 inches shorter than the Vistiq, making the ID.BUZZ easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The ID.BUZZ has 14.5 cubic feet more passenger volume than the Vistiq (160.1 vs. 145.6).

The ID.BUZZ has .6 inches more front hip room, 2 inches more rear headroom, 7.5 inches more rear hip room, 2 inches more rear shoulder room, 11.8 inches more third row legroom and 7.1 inches more third row hip room than the Vistiq.

For enhanced passenger comfort on long trips the ID.BUZZ’s middle and third row seats recline. The Vistiq’s third row seats don’t recline.

The ID.BUZZ’s cargo area provides more volume than the Vistiq.

The ID.BUZZ’s standard sliding doors can be opened with less than three inches side clearance. The Vistiq’s standard rear swing-out doors are bulky and make loading in tight spots difficult.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the ID.BUZZ to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The Vistiq doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

The Vistiq’s cornering lamps activate a lamp on the front corner when the turn signal is activated. The ID.BUZZ’s standard adaptive cornering lights turn the actual headlight unit up to several degrees, depending on steering wheel angle and vehicle speed. This lights a significant distance into corners at any speed.

Manual rear side window sunshades are available in the ID.BUZZ to help block heat and glare for the rear passengers. The Vistiq doesn’t offer rear side window sunshades.

The ID.BUZZ is available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The Vistiq doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.

The ID.BUZZ was chosen as a Car and Driver’s “Top Ten” for 2025. The Vistiq has never been chosen by Car and Driver in their “10Best” issue.
